This Month's Theme - Self-Examination
Any form of self-examination has to be done with great care and compassion. It should not be a personal inquisition.
When I began to get serious about self-examination, I had to be careful not to beat myself up with an ego-driven self-effacing inventory. Grieving for the wrongs I did, however, opened me up to compassion for others.
How much time do you spend reflecting upon your own behaviors? Is there a resentment from your past that you are still holding on to as an adult? Do you share with a friend or partner something about yourself that you don't like?
Have you considered any of these support groups? AA,
Adult
Children of Alcoholics,
Narcotics Anonymous, Alanon,
Overeaters
Anonymous, and Sex Anonymous?
