This site is for those who have the desire to stay sober and want a daily connection to those, like myself, for whom sobriety is an ongoing process.
The journey that I have chosen to follow is an eclectic one that borrows from many traditions and philosophies. There are times when the principles and steps of Alcoholics Anonymous will be crucial to my comments. At other times, I may refer to Buddhism, A.H.Almaas, Pema Chödrön, Existentialism, American cultural values.
The site assumes certain characteristics of its active readers and forum participants. Those who choose to participate in the conversations should be willing to be honest, to be open to new and foreign ideas (non-traditional spiritual journeys), to be non-judgmental (sharing is the key here), to radically questioning cultural assumptions, to be willing to share with compassion and loving kindness, and to view their recoveries as a process, not a destination.
